Hope To Vienna!
Saturday 12 and sunday 13 of march it happened. During the week, three teams from YWAM together with people from churches had been hitting the streets showing people Gods love in creative ways, handing out flyers and inviting people to come to the event in the weekend. People all over the world and in Vienna especially had been praying for some weeks, and people from churh had been challenged to bring their friends to what was about to happen. The Rebootteam from Norway had arrived, the stage was set, lights were fixed, smoke filled the room. Excitement.. And what happened?
At least ten people giving their lives to Jesus. Many people healed of sicknesses. Many more interested, asking questions or wanting to get to know Jesus better. And in addition to all of this, everything that God did in peoples hearts that we just can’t see.. Which is a lot.
Thank you GOD for everything you did throughout this week! Thank you God for every life you touched, healed and brought into freedom. Keep every heart in your hands, protect and guide. You are awesome.
The event Hope To Vienna is over for now.. But never forget that THE ONE that brings hope still is alive. And more than that, He still wants to bring hope. To you, to your friends, your family. Receive, believe and share that hope, He will never fail.
Remember Thursday night evangelism with us still. Starbucks, MariaHilferStrasse 23-25. 19:00PM. Be there.. or be square:)
Love, The YWAM guys

So here is how the cookie crumbles…
People, here is my story from the last week of evangelism, I hope that it will encourage you to come and join us! It was my first time doing evangelism on the streets but it in some way it blew me away.
So, the whole team was divided into two groups. One group did the usual “treasure hunting”, the other (where I was) had to do something called the `Trading Game´. We had a little chocolate that we had to trade for something which was bigger and of greater value than the chocolate. The idea came from Jonathan, who received from God that we have to get in touch with the people in a more personal way and then start talking with them about Jesus.
Me and Caro went out knowing only two things, one that direction we had to go in and two that it had to be a pub or a restaurant. Caro spoke to a lady who was very open and allowed us to pray for her and while talking with her a guy came to me and just passed me a sheet of paper on which the address of Gruft was written. It turned out that he is a Bulgarian Gypsy, who came to Vienna to search for his sister. Unfortunately, he did not know her exact address or telephone number because they haven’t seen each other for 8 years. He didn’t speak German and he did not have any money. I asked him whether he believed in Jesus, he said that he attends a Church in Bulgaria. So we prayed and I encouraged him that God is in authority and he will help him find his sister. After that we decided to go back to Starbucks to discuss with others what to do, but before that we went to place where he could get something to eat so what Caro felt at the beginning was true. From that on only miracles followed.
Ivan (our “treasure”) slept for the night at Gruft and on the next day I went to pick him up and to help him find his sister. He only new that she lives somewhere near a bridge next to Südbahnhof but because it was almost impossible to find her like this we stayed for a while in the waiting-room at the station. There we met another Bulgarian, who was waiting for the president of the bus company which travels from Bulgaria to Austria. He offered Ivan that if he doesn’t find the sister he can go back to Bulgaria with the president on the next day for free. I was very happy but we decided not to give up. We thought that the only way to find the sister is to go to the police (knowing the fact that usually they are not allowed to give us personal information about anybody). But I prayed and we went, so the police officer was willing to give us the address We found the sister and she was of course very surprised. She called her family in Bulgaria, who she hasn’t heard from for 8 years! She invited me for a coffee the following week and she said she is OK if I pray for her! Ivan is now helping with the repairs of his sisters appartement. As far as I know, the Mother of Ivan comes this week to Vienna too.
And the last thing that we have to do is praise the Lord because He provided me with money so I could buy Ivan something to eat for these 2 days. I found money on the street one day before the evangelism.
